Canoe trips on the Werra riverDieses
Freizeitvergnügen gewinnt seit Jahren zunehmend Freunde. Um Kanu zu fahren, braucht man
keinen Führerschein, man sollte aber Schwimmen können. Kanufahren ist bei jedem Wetter
möglich. Es wird als Regenschutz ein Fahrrad-Cape empfohlen. Mitgeführtes Gepäck
oder Taschen sollten in Plastiktüten verstaut werden. Kleiderbeutel oder Tonnen können
gemietet werden. Kanufahren ist gesund, romantisch und umweltfreundlich. Kanufahren ist
komfortabel wenn man Service in Anspruch nimmt. Es werden nur amtlich zugelassene Boote
vermietet.
This free time enjoyment has been winning friends since years. In
order to drive with the canoe, you don't need a licence, but you should be able to swim.
Canoe trips are possible by every weather. As protection against the rain, a bicycle cape
is suggested. Luggage or backpacks which you may bring with you, should be put in plastic
bags. You can rent clothes bags or barrels. Canoe trips are healthy, romantic and
environment-friendly. If you make use of the service, canoe trips are comfortable. Only
official licensed boats are rented.
Das Kanufahren auf der Werra hat Tradition. Die "Älteren" sprechen
noch gern von früheren Fahrten mit Holzbooten und später mit Faltbooten. Die
"Neuzeit" kennt jedoch moderne, leichtere und bequemere Polyester – oder
PE-Boote. Die Werra bietet dem Kanuten ein reizvolles Landschaftsbild mit bewaldeten
Berghängen und romantischen Burgen. Die Fließgeschwindigkeit ist unterschiedlich, mal
lebhaft durch Kurven und Engstellen, dann wieder ruhig und beschaulich. Wenn es langsam
wird, ist das nächste Wehr nicht mehr weit, jetzt muss umgetragen oder geschleust werden.
Die Vermietstation ist in Eschwege am Schwanenteich direkt an der Werra und am
Werratal-Radweg gelegen. Die Station bietet außer Kanuvermietung, eine Fahrradvermietung
und eine Minigolfanlage.

Schwanenteich (swan pond) directly on the Werra river and at the Werra river valley bike

Mindestteilnehmerzahl 4 Personen. Auf einen PKW-Anhänger passen 6 Boote für je
4 Personen = 24 Personen. Es sind auch 2 PKW-Anhänger mit insgesamt 12 Boote für 48
Personen möglich. Allerdings sollten Gruppen mit mehr als 24 Personen zeitversetzt
starten, damit diese nicht alle gleichzeitig an den Schleusen ankommen.
Minimum number of participants is 4 people. Six boats for each 4
people = 24 people fits on a car trailer. Two car trailers with a total of 12 boats for 48
people is also possible. But the groups with more than 24 people should start at different
times, so that these don't all arrive at the sluices at the same time.
